Destination: I Heart Anime @ North Star Mall

You can’t miss Vidovi’s next stop—literally! He has arrived at the famous North Star Mall in San Antonio, home to the Guinness World Record-holding Giant Cowboy Boots sculpture. Standing in the shadow of these massive boots, Vidovi knows he is in the heart of Texas.

He heads inside to find “I Heart Anime,” a store located right next to JC Penney. This spot is a sanctuary for otaku culture. Fitting the theme, Vidovi is hunting for a specific legendary item: the “Space Cowboy” Anime Blind Box.

Story Recap: The Plushie Quicksand

• The Target: Vidovi enters the store and spots the Space Cowboy box. But there’s a problem: it is perched at the very top of a towering, unstable mountain of plushies.
• The Struggle: Vidovi tries to climb the soft mountain, but it’s like quicksand! The more he moves, the deeper he sinks into the pile of squishy cats and slimes. He is stuck and the box is still out of reach.
• The Fusion Solution: Vidovi spots a long, pink Magical Girl Ribbon on a nearby shelf. Inspiration strikes! Channeling the spirit of the Wild West, he grabs the ribbon and starts spinning it over his head.
• The Lasso Catch: Whoosh! Using the ribbon as a makeshift Texas Lasso, he hooks the blind box with perfect aim and gently pulls it down. A nearby employee, dressed in full cosplay, cheers and high-fives Vidovi. With the Space Cowboy secured, Vidovi tips his hat and prepares for the next leg of the journey.
