Vidovi travels way up north to the historic mill town of Manchester, New Hampshire. The air is crisp, and the landscape is rugged. He has arrived in “The Granite State.”

His destination is a local legend: Double Midnight Comics. This store is the heartbeat of pop culture in New Hampshire. Vidovi is here to find a souvenir that represents the state’s stony reputation: the “Granite State Gargoyle” Blind Box.

Story Recap: The Hockey Stick Lever

• The Target: Vidovi spots the Gargoyle box. It’s perfect—grey, stony, and tough. But it’s stuck!
• The Obstacle: True to the state’s nickname, the store uses a massive, heavy chunk of real New Hampshire Granite as a rustic display base. The blind box is wedged tightly beneath this giant rock. Vidovi tries to lift the granite with brute strength. Hrnnngh! No use. He’s a mascot, not a bodybuilder. The rock won’t budge.
• The Local Inspiration: Vidovi looks around and spots the sports memorabilia section. He remembers that New Hampshire loves its Ice Hockey. He grabs a sturdy Hockey Stick.
• The Solution: Using the stick as a lever and a smaller stone as a fulcrum (Physics!), Vidovi wedges the blade under the granite. Heave! With the leverage of the hockey stick, the heavy rock lifts just enough. He slides the blind box free, celebrates with a “goal scorer” pose, and prepares for the final leg of his journey.
